Motel Rooms - Waterdeep
by Don Chaffer
I first heard this song at a Waterdeep show in Midlothian, TX in April of
2002, before the Whole Nother Deal CD came out. When they played it then,
it was a traditional folk/country tune. Now that the CD is out, however,
theyve jazzed it up a bit with the drum and crazy stuff on the electric
in the background. Sufficed to say, this is the way they played it back
then, and while it still matches the CD, its just the base of the way
they play it now. Also, Don played his guitar with a capo on the 5th fret
then in the key of G, which is the key of C with no capo. So Ive included
a transposition for the key of C at the bottom for those who cant afford
a capo...chilton.
