This is my first chord tab, for a pretty simple rockin song - it's got a bluesy rock feel to it, and that will
give you guys a lot of room to fumble around with some solos and hammers in the chord progressions.

The intro in the song is played on bass, but can be played on guitar with the following chord progression
which will be the basis of most of the song.

[INTRO:] D A G D

[Verse 1]
D A
Good morning, Rita, don't you miss your wine?
          G D
Don't you miss your body being next to mine?
D A
Got a hollow heart and I'm feeling wrong
      G D
Got a dollar in my pocket for a midnight song

In between verses (played with a slide) is D A G D x2 AGAIN!

[Verse 2]
D A
When your lover's gone and the music's over
   G D
Oh no, don't wanna be alone any more
D A
When your lover's gone, can't rest at night
G D
Threading through the crowd in a low-tavern light

[Hook]
G G D A
Yeah, she's gone, yeah, she's gone
   G D
My Rita was a light in my bright shining morning
D A G
Yeah, she's gone, yeah, she's gone
G

AFTER THE HOOK - the guitarist hammers from a C to a D three times. It goes like two quick downstrokes on a C,
and then a quick downstroke on the D (and let the D hold for a little bit). After three hits with the C to D
pattern, finish off with the same beat pattern but hit an A chord to the D chord. Like follows

C C D x3
A A D x1

[Verse 3]
D A
Good morning, Rita, hope you're doing right
           G D
I couldn't give you what you wanted, but you stayed on my mind
D A
Got a tired heart, and it's been too long
      G D
Put a dollar in the jukebox for a midnight song
G G D A
When your lover is gone, there's cloud in your eyes
G D
It might be the bourbon, all the lies that you hide
D A
When the evenings done, that feels warm
G D
The soft southern air and a jukebox morning
