I'm submitting this because the other two versions seem to be off to varying degrees. This is based on the powertab for the song that I found here. It was rated highly, soassuming it's correct. I wanted the chords, so I typed out the lyrics and aligned thefrom the powertab to them. The cd version uses power chords, but I've changed them forwho like full chords.I wrote the timing for the intro according to the powertab, though the cd version isdifferent. Underscores indicate held notes, while spaces are rests (no sound). Whether youhow to read that or not, you'll probably have to listen to the song to get the intro timing.I did not attempt to chord the instrumental interlude.F#m Em D F#mD(1_+_2_+a_ea_e+a) (Repeat similar)(I want to burn out bright)D aDoes it have to start with a broken heart / Broken dreams and bleeding partsEm BmWe were young and the world was clear / But young ambition disappearsG DI swore it would never come to this / The average, the obviousEm GI'm still discontented down here / I'm still discontentedD aIf we've only got one tryEm BmIf we've only got one lifeD aIf time was never on our sideBm G (Intro)Then before I die, I want to burn out bright(None)/F#~ aA spark ignites in time and space / Limping through this human raceEm BmYou bite and claw your way back home / But you're running the wrong wayG DThe future is a question mark / Of kerosene and electric sparksEm GThere's still fire in you yet / Yeah there's still fire in you!(Chorus)Bass: Bm Em a D (x2)(Instrumental Interlude)Bm a-Bm-DI keep cleaning up the mess I've madeGI keep cleaning up the mess I've madeEm B a-Bm-DI won't run away / I can't sleep in the bed I've madeG EmI can't sleep in the bed I've made(Key change to E)(e) BIf we've only got one tryF#m C#mIf we've only got one lifee BIf time was never on our sideC#m aThen before I die, I want to burn outeBefore I die I want to burn outBBefore I die I want to burn outF#m C#mBefore I die I want to burn out brighte BIf time was never on our sideC#m a (Outro)Before I die I want to burn out brightG#m F#m e G#m F#m e~(Similar to the Intro, but in E)
