Under Pressure by Queen & David BowieAs tabbed by AndrewrockuThis was/still is a great tune and somehow has always reminded me of Christmas. Probablybecause of the general message. This theory is obviously not my own because I've heardit a lot this last year played in Christmas commercials. A brilliant Queen Mercury/Bowiepartnership loaded with hip melody and tons of feeling, this song never received thenoway near exposure and success I feel it deserved. Though it's bass line & hipclap/snap bottom was stolen by a flash-in-the-pan rapper who had a huge hit with it... yet denied infringing copyrights claiming his version's bassline included one"extra" note. I ALWAYS break this one out for the holidays!(Figure 1) - Bass Line for guitar played with alternating clap to snap (do thiswith feet if you do not have four hands)E-----------------------------------| B-----------------------------------| G-----------------------------------| D-----------------------------------| A-----------------------------------| E----10--10--10---10-10-10---5------|(Figure 2 Played once for INTRO and during VERSE)D A G AE------------5-------|---9------------|----7-----------|---5---------------| B------7-------------|--------10------|---------8------|--------5----------| G----7---7-------7---|-9---9-------9--|--7---7-----7---|-6---6----7-6-4----| D--------------------|----------------|----------------|----------------7--| A--------------------|----------------|----------------|-------------------| E--------------------|----------------|----------------|-------------------|D - or Figure 2Um boom ba bayAUm boom ba bayGUm Um boom ba bay bayADPressureAPushing down on meGPressing down on youANo man ask forDUnder pressureAThat burns a building downGSplits a family in twoAPuts people on streetsDUm ba ba bayAUm ba ba bayGDee day duhAEe day duhbridgeGIt's the terror of knowingAWhat this world is aboutGWatching some good friendsAScreaming let me out!G APray tomorrow takes me higherDPressure on peopleG APeople on streets(Figure 1 bassline x3)Day day dayda da dup bup bupOkayD - or Figure 2Chippin' aroundAI kick my brains round the floorGThese are the daysAIt never rains but it poursDEe do bay bupAEe do bay ba bupGEe do bupABay bupDPeople on streetsADee da dee da dayGPeople on streetsADee da dee da dee da dee daGIt's the terror of knowingAWhat this world is aboutGWatching some good friendAScream let me out!GPray tomorrowAtakes me high high higherGTurned away from it allCLike the blind manG CSat on a fence but it don't workGKeep coming up with loveABut it's so slashed and tornC FWhy?G FWhy?ALoveLoveLove!AInsanity laughs under pressure we're crackingD G ACan't we give ourselves one more chance?D G AWhy can't we give love that one more chance?D A D AWhy can't we give love give love give love?G A D A G AGive love give love give love give love give love give love?G A DCause love's such an old fashioned wordA GAnd love dares you to careA D AFor the people on the edge of the nightG AAnd love dares you to change our wayD AOf caring about ourselvesG AThis is our last danceG AThis is our last chanceD A GThis is ourselvesUnder Pressure(Figure 1 bass line x3)D AUnder PressureD G A DPressure
