In theworld of music majors, this is not a mistake, it's called "micro-tonality." Either way it's a bitch to tune the guitar to, so myrecommendation is to use the pitchshifter function available onmany commerically-available sound editing programs (Cool Edit,Audacity, pretty much anything with a multi-track view) totune the song to your guitar.Effects used: whammy, light chorus and/or phaser, distortion/over-drive. You can get by without a whammy, and I've shown the methodof doing so here, but it's not going to sound as clean or tunefulas on the recording unless you're Superman (ie. faster than aspeeding bullet).Chorus effect is noticeable mostly on the lead lines, but therhythm parts have a vague but audible "ghostly" feel to them too, suggesting that there may be some light chorus or phaser appliedto Som's part. Old Digitech products (like the XP-300 Space Stationthat Som uses) sometimes color/compress the tone in weird ways andleave digital artifacts; this may be what I'm hearing.Your mileage may vary.intro/main riffAm E5 F5 E5 Dsusd|--------------0--------0-------0-------0-------0-------5-----5~~| A|-----1--------0--------0-------0-------0-------0-------5-----5~~| F|-----2-0----4---4----5---5---5---5---4---4---4---4-----5-----5~~| C|---2---0--2--------3-------3-------2-------2---------7---7---7~~| G|-0-------------------------------------------------5---------5~~| D|----------------------------------------------------------------|SLIDE........SLIDE|------/////---20---\\\\\---|-------------------------------------| |-1-1--/////---17---\\\\\---|--13-----------12--------------------| |-2-2--/////---17---\\\\\---|-------------------------------------| |-2-2-----------------------|--10------------9--------------------| |-0-0-----------------------|-----(0)---(0)-----------------------| |---------------------------|--------(0)--------------------------|^ tremolo picking throughoutlead guitar|-----------------------20-19-17----19----20----------------------| |--------------------------------17----17-------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------| |-17-16-14----16----17--------------------------------------------| |----------14----14-----------------------------------------------| |-----------------------------------------------------------------|^ This part can also be done with a whammy set up one octaverhythm guitar after trempicking part|-----(0)(0)(0)-|R| |------------------0--------------------| |------0--1--0--|E| |------3---3--5--3----------------------| |---------------|P| then |---------------------------------------| |---/2----------|E| |---/4---4------------------------------| |-0-------------|A| |-0-------------------------------------| |---------------|T| |---------------------------------------|repeat 3xbridge bridge lead|-9-----/----0-------------------|-/12--10--9-----12--10--9-------| |-7-----/----9-------------------|------------/10-----------------| |-7-----/----9-------------------|--------------------------------| |-7-----/----7-------------------|--------------------------------| |-0-----/----0-------------------|--------------------------------| |--------------------------------|--------------------------------|^ Rhythm should be easy to figure out.
