Hi, this is my first tab for a great song...the other version on here was pretty
good but not quite right for me. I've also tabbed out the intro riff, it might not
be in the right octave, but you can work it out. Enjoy!
Intro riff (x2):
e|--------------------------------------------------| B|--------------------------------------------------| G|--------------------------------------------------| D|--10~--10-10--------------------------------------| A|-------------12-10~--------10-12------------------| E|---------------------10-12-------12--10--8~-------|

VERSE 1
C Am
There's a game that's always played
F G
And always won by fools
Em F
But everyone I know
C G
Would rather never play than lose
C Am
There's a place where the innocent stand
F G
Proud before the firing squad
Em F
There's a church at the end of the path
C G
Where the sign reads beware of the God
Bridge:
Am
And there's you in the alley
F
And there's me walking away
C
Those three words still hang in the air
G
That I swore I would never say
CHORUS (x2):
C
So hold on now, Just hold on a minute
F
This car's not leaving if you're not in it
Am
You've no idea how lucky we are
F
A would that deep would normally scar
Intro Riff (x1)
VERSE 2
C Am
I heard there was a place where the light
F G
managed to cut through the dark
Em F
But that was just a story for children
C G
And my chest is just a grave for my heart
C Am
There's a phone that's always ringin'
F G
Answer, and a child will say
Em F
I'd rather take my own life
C G
then give it away
Bridge:
Am
And there's you under the west way
F
for to hide from the rain
C
And I'm taking your picture
G
To be sure that I'll see you again
CHORUS (x2)
Am
But I've seen willows holding hands
F
heard birds sing in harmony
C
The bodies of water are caressed by land
G
And the river's mouth is kissing the sea (alright!)
Sax Solo:
C F Am F
CHORUS (repeats and fades out)
And that's about it! As much as I can make of this great song! Any corrections
just comment, thanks! :)
