Subject: CRD (sort of): 10,000 Maniacs, "Verdi Cries"A word of explanation is in order: this was the first song I sounded outwhen I learned to play the guitar two and a half years ago. Sometime afterthat, I came across a version of the song in a songbook, which wassignificantly different, but by that time I was so used to my version thatthe songbook one sounded wrong. The songbook version uses only four chordsfor most of the song--Eb, Bb, Cm and Ab, which turn into G, D, Em and C inthis key--plus a Gb (Bb) on the "Oh" at the end of the second chorus.Anyway, I hope someone can get some use out of this version (which I thinkbreaks every rule of chord progressions in the book, but...), and I'll tryto post some more *official* Maniacs in the future.BenVERDI CRIES (10,000 Maniacs)Words & music: Natalie MerchantThis song should be fingerpicked, not strummed.INTRO: G A7 D7 D Dsus D( Tab from: http://www.guitartabs.cc/tabs/0-9/10000_maniacs/verdi_cries_crd.html )C B7 G CG A7 G7 A7C A7 D7 D Dsus D (x2)CHORUS:G A7 D7 D Dsus DCHORUS, followed by:C D GC B7 G CG A7 G7 A7G CG A7 G7 A7D7 D Dsus DCHORUSINSTRUMENTAL: repeat chorus chords, end on GFrom: Lee Eugene TSubject: CRD: VERDI CRIES - 10,000 MANIACSVerdi Cries - This should match the version on the cd.CAPO 1INTRO: D, A, Bm, AG A D GD G D GD G AD G/B AD G/B AG/B (the rest is same)D G/B AF G AD G/B AEND ON D.G/B:X2003XGENEet-lee@ux4.cso.uiuc.edusend your 10,000 maniacs requests/comments/corrections this way
